Summer Term

Hello and welcome back! We hope you all had a lovely holiday and enjoyed the sunshine (and snow showers!!!). We have got a very busy and exciting term ahead.  Have a look at the documents below to see what we have got planned!

Today was our final celebration assembly for Class 5! What a unusual year it has been but we are so proud of all the children for the resilience and determination they have shown and the progress they have made.  This week we said a big well done to Lyla and Noah for finishing their sticker charts.  They get to be King and Queen on Monday!  We also gave two special effort certificates this week to Sean and Evan for their amazing achievements in swimming this term.  The whole of Class 5 were awarded the trophy to say thank you for being such a super class to teach.  You are all going to be very missed next year but I know you are going to superstars in your new schools.  Well done Class 5!

A huge well done to all our certificate winners this week! Ben was awarded the trophy for his fantastic effort and attitude towards his learning and for really improving his handwriting and presentation.  Emily won the special effort award for her brilliant work in Art this week.  Ayla was awarded the manners certificate for being so polite and helpful all the time.  We also had two kings this week, well done to Ben and Ali'zah for finishing their sticker charts! 

Well done to all our certificate winners this week. We are super proud of Harry for the effort he has put in with his learning all week.  He has been on fire and truly earned the trophy! Kian was our special effort winner for his brilliant participation in Sports day, his skipping in the skipping race was amazing and we are really impressed with how he has been practicing at play times too.  Well done to Noah for getting the manners certificate, thank you for always being so polite and helpful.  We also had another queen this week, great job on finishing your sticker chart Miley! Keep up the good work!

We've had a very busy first week back after the holidays! This children have been learning to tell the time in Maths this week and have really impressed us with what they can do!  We have also been enjoying the lovely sunny weather and have spent some time thinking about how to keep safe in the sunshine.  Well done to our certificate winnners.  Maizee was awarded the trophy this week for her fantastic learning attitude and effort in our Maths work.  Daisie was given the Special Effort for brilliant effort in her learning and behaviour all week.  We also had 2 children finish their sticker charts so well done to Emily and Harry, we hope you enjoy being king and queen on Monday!  Mrs Harper also took the new Mrs Harper's Heroes for afternoon tea in her office this afternoon.  Well done to Xavier and Ellie for being Mrs Harper's Heroes last half term.  Ayla and Tilly also joined as they were Mrs Harper's Heroes in December but hadn't yet had their treat because of the school closures.  Well done to all the children for their outstanding behaviour and effort!

Well done to all our certificate winners this week.  Ellie won the trophy for her amazing persuasive letter she wrote in English.  Kian G won the special effort certificate for his amazing effort and attitude in Art. Kian  D was awarded the manners certificate for always remembering to be polite and helpful to both the adults and the other children.  We also had 3 children who have completed their sticker charts this week! Well done to Daisie, Evie and Ruby who will all get to be queens for a day next week!

Keep up all the good work Class 5!

Well done to all the children in Class 5 for their hard work this week and for winning the stars!!  The children have had a vote and have decided to come to school for the day in their pyjamas (or non-uniform). More information about this will be sent on Seesaw.

 

Ollie was given the manners certificate as he was spotted by two different teachers outside of Class 5 for being super polite and helpful, well done Ollie!  Freya was our special effort winner for her amazing effort in her reading both at school and at home.  Sean won the trophy for his fantastic work in Maths, he has shown a brilliant attitude towards his learning and we are really impressed with his understanding of fractions.  We also had two queens this week as Nevaeh and Emily finished their sticker charts!

Well done to our certificate winners this week!  Xavier won the trophy for his effort, behaviour and attitude.  He is a fantastic role model to others!  Jake was our Special Effort winner this week for his hard work in our swimming lessons!  Ruby was given the manners award for always being polite and helpful to others.

Have a look below to see who our certificate winners are this week.  Two weeks in a row for Evie as this week she has blown us away with her super manners! Leia was given special effort for her brilliant work in English, writing a fantastic piece of writing by herself using correct punctuation, neat handwriting and adjectives.  Logan won the trophy this week for his amazing attitude towards his learning recently, putting in 100% effort and listening carefully in class.  We also have two queens for next week! Well done to Tilly and Freya for finishing their sticker charts!

We started our new topic off in a very exciting way this morning as Partake Theatre company came in to tell us the story of the Great Fire of London. We had so much fun finding out all about what happened and acting out the events. Have a look at us in action!

This afternoon we had our fabulous finish for our round the world topic. We made our own passports and tickets and then jetted off to lots of different countries to have a go at joining in with their traditional dances. It was lots of fun!
