Class 6

Welcome to Class 6! My name is Miss Gossington and Mrs O'Hare is the class teaching assistant.

Special Assembly Friday 15th January. What a fabulous week we have had in year 2. This week we have looking at the story of Bog Baby and in maths doing some very tricky subtraction. The trophy this week was awarded to Layla for her focus and determination. Hope for super manners. We also want to celebrate the achievements of the children currently working from home. This week Lewis Horner in class 6 for his work about habitats. In class 5 Ollie for responding to feedback this week to improve his work.

Special Assembly Friday 4th December. Well done to Willow for manners, Elliott for great progress with his reading and Sophie for her hard work and determination with her maths.

Friday 27th November Party time in class 6. We have danced our socks off and played games. We had a fab time a great way to end the week.

Special assembly week starting Monday 23rd November. Another busy week in class 6. We had a special assembly on Monday from NED all about having a growth mindset. In art we have been busy creating our LS Lowry pictures. In RE this week we were in small groups to make and then play with a dreidel. Well done to all our certificate children this week. We have then ended our week having a party to celebrate anyone who has had a birthday this school year so far. Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Special Assembly week starting Monday 16th November. What another busy week in class 6. Yesterday was pirate day please look under curriculum and History to see all the great photos of us. Well done to Autumn , Lily - Mae and Amber for getting their certificates this week, Have a great weekend everyone.

Special Assembly today in class 6. Well done to Harry for super manners. Layla for special effort working very hard this week. Gracie for her focus and concentration especially in her writing this week all about Stubby the dog. Well done to these children. Children in Need today. We came to school in non uniform and started the day out of our seats. We joined Joe Wicks during the live stream to support the end of his 24 hour challenge. We joined in and were amazed at how much money he had made. Take a look at us in action.

Week beginning 2nd November. What a fabulous week back at school. It has been great to see everyone. We have been looking at a story called Silly Billy this week and made worry dolls. Take a look under curriculum , Well being to see some photos of us. In PE this week we were set a challenge to do circuit training. We had lots of different activities and had to work hard for 3 minutes without stopping. Again take a look under curriculum and PE to see this. We have ended our week with an in class assembly. Well done to the children this week Leo, Vishika, Lewis and Skylar. Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Week beginning Monday 12th October. What a busy fabulous week we have had in class 6 this week. We have been learning lots of information about Egypt. Check out the geography page under curriculum to see what we have been doing. We also started the week designing and making a healthy pasta salad within our science topic healthy living. Again photos of this can be found under curriculum then science. Well done to all the children this week take a look below to see who has been awarded the certificates this week. Week beginning Monday 5th October. A great week again in class 6. We have worked hard in English writing our own stories of The River by Marc Martin. In maths we have been counting in steps of 2,5 10 and 3. In First Aid for feelings we were discussing anger and what we can do when we feel like this to make us feel better. Take a look under our curriculum page to see the pictures. Also under History take a look at the great pirate work that is on our display. Well done to all the children this week with certificates and to all class 6 who voted on having an ice lolly for their star treat.

Week beginning Monday 28th September Special Assembly for class 6. Another fantastic week in class 6. The children have worked really hard and won the stars of the week. Well done class 6. Week beginning 21st September. Special assembly today in class 6 well done to Gracie for the manners award, Willow for special effort and William for the trophy this week. Well done to all of you.

Week Monday 14th September. What a busy week in class 6. Well done to all the children for their hard work. A special mention to Katie Ann for super manners this week. Emily for her special effort and hard work. Finally , the trophy this week was awarded to Eden for his great picture within art and his continuous hard work across the curriculum. Well done. Pirates! Partake Theatre came to work with us this morning and took us on an amazing pirate adventure! We visited Polynesia to do some hula dancing on the beach, danced with the penguins in Antarctica, battled through the stormy seas, bravely explored Volcano Island before finally reaching Treasure Island and finding the gold!
