Welcome to Class 5

We are Class 5 and we love to learn lots of exciting things! Our teacher is called Miss Moretto and our teaching assistant is Mrs Bowles. In the Autumn term we found out all about the city we live in called Nottingham. Hulk came to Nottingham for a holiday and we let him know all the exciting places he could visit! We also learned about different materials in science and we found out what our school is made of and why it is made of those materials. In art we learned about pattern and finding out about an artist called Mondrian. In the Spring term we are learning all about the continent Africa and in particular the country Kenya. We are learning about the landscapes, weather, homes and school life in Kenya and comparing it to our country and city where we live. In science we are learning about how to keep healthy and in art we are drawing portraits.  In the summer term we are learning about going to a British Seaside and comparing it to the past.  We are designing and making our own puppets in design technology.

Our trip to Nottingham City Centre

We went on a the number 25 bus to the city centre and walked to Nottingham Castle. After that we walked to the Old Market Square and we went into the town hall. We saw the lions, fountains, tram and town hall. We had a wonderful morning in Nottingham!

Culture Week - Italy

As part of culture week we learned about the country Italy! We made italain flags and tasted some italian food. We tasted mozzarella, amaretto biscuits, parma ham and pizza. We then voted which we liked the most and put this information on a block graph. We have also found out about the cities Venice, Naples, Pisa and Rome! Have a look at our photos!

Partake Drama group - The Great Fire of London

As part of our history topic on the Great Fire of London we went back in time to 1666 and dressed up. We acted out what happened in London when the great fire started in a bakers shop.  It was so much fun! Take a look at the photographs.
