Class 5 (Year 2)

Welcome to Class 5 (Year 2)

We have been learning lots of exciting things in Class 5 this year such as The Great Fire of London in History, all about the City of Nottingham. Spiderman even paid us a visit to find out what he could do and where he could visit for his stay in Nottingham! We have been learning about patterns and the artist Mondrian in art and we have also made our own Sculptures. We have been learning about materials and keeping healthy in Science.

In the Spring term we learned about Africa and we were comparing it to our country. We learned all about how to keep us safe in Safety Week and we have celebrated our love of books in Book Week.

This term we are learning about the British Seaside and all about what the seaside was like one hundred years ago. Partake Theatre group will be coming in to do some dance and drama. We are also having a Maths through Stories themed week where we shall be doing lots of problem solving and investigating.
