What a great way to end the Spring term in class 6. This morning we had a visit from the Easter bunny who left us all an Easter egg too... yum yum. He very kindly stayed with us and had a little playtime too. We have also made an Easter cake and got an Easter bracelet. In assembly today Cohen was awarded for his super manners. Lily -Mae was awarded super star for her amazing effort in reading. The trophy was awarded to Sophia who has consistently had a great Spring term. Have a lovely Easter break everybody.
Week beginning Monday 22nd March. A great week in class 6 we have been very busy learning other stories from the bible. Drawing and reading an array to help us understand multiplication. We also had our second session at swimming today. This week Florence had been awarded with the trophy for her focus and independent work. Jayce is the special effort for his hard work in maths this week. He has shown a great understanding of multiplication. Neve got the manners certificate this week. Well done ππ»
Week Beginning Monday 15th March. This week we went swimming for the first time which was really exciting. The children did extremely well and made Phoenix very proud. Today was Red Nose Day and we dressed up like a superhero π¦ΈββοΈ π¦ΈββοΈ Special assembly today well done to all the children. Very exciting that we are starting to fill our sticker charts to become kings and queens for the day.

What a fantastic first week back we have had! It has been so lovely to see all the children back together again and they have made us so proud with how well they have settled back into school life. We have had a super busy week too as it has been British Science Week. Photos will be uploaded onto the Science page of the website soon so make sure you have a look and see what we have been up to!

Week beginning 25th January. This week started very snowy at Phoenix which was great fun. We have been planning and preparing to write a story about our creatures ready for next week. We have continued to learn about the properties of 2D and 3D shapes. We now know that Neil Armstrong was the first man on the moon. Well done to Daisy in class 5 for manners this week. Ralph in class 6 was awarded with the trophy , as he is working hard at school but also at home too. Well done to Gracie at home in class 6 for all her shape work. In class 5 Ben has been trying really hard. Well done everyone.
Week beginning 18th January . We have had a great week in year 2. We have started to think about our own creature who we might find - like in the story Bog Baby. We have done some work on 2D and 3D shapes looking at their properties. Achievement assembly has been awarded to Joseph in class 5 for all his hard week. Eden in class 6 for manners. Eden always remembers to say please and thank you. For the home learning children Autumn in class 6 for special effort because she responds to any feedback given to her. In class 5 special effort has been awarded to Kian working really hard even though the technology / internet has been a struggle. Well done everyone.
Special Assembly Friday 15th January. What a fabulous week we have had in year 2. This week we have looking at the story of Bog Baby and in maths doing some very tricky subtraction. The trophy this week was awarded to Layla for her focus and determination. Hope for super manners. We also want to celebrate the achievements of the children currently working from home. This week Lewis Horner in class 6 for his work about habitats. In class 5 Ollie for responding to feedback this week to improve his work.
