Class 5 - Nick Butterworth
Welcome to Class 5's page!
Our teacher in Class 5 is Miss Greasley and our teaching assistant is Mrs O'Hare. There are 27 children in Class 5. We work alongside Class 6 with Mrs Broad and Mrs Smith.
Every morning, we do Phonics, English and Maths. In the afternoon we work hard on our topics in History, Geography, Science, Art and P.E. Our Geography and History topic is Fire, Fire and we will be exploring our capital city of London.
We are all superstar learners in Class 5 and follow the Golden Rules every day.

During book week, Class 5 enjoyed doing some Aboriginal Story Telling and then some Drama around our chosen book, 'The Naughty Bus'.
Class 5 have been very busy making vehicles as part of our Design and Technology lessons this term.
Class 5 have been doing lots of work on PHSE. They have been trained and have all gained their certificates for completing 'First Aid for Feelings'. Well Done Class 5!

To celebrate our love of books, we had a book picnic, where we brought in our favourite books and shared them with other children across the school.
In History, we have been learning all about the Great Fire of London. We had Partake Theatre Group in to help us act out the events.
For Culture Week, Class 5 have been learning about India. We have had lots of fun tasting food, Bollywood dancing, doing Indian art work and learning about Indian people and their culture.
In Art, we have been learning about the artist, Paul Klee. Take a look at our fabulous creations in the style of Paul Klee.
In Mathematics, we have been looking at 2d shapes and their properties. Take a look at our sorting activity.
