Welcome to F2
Here at Phoenix Infant and Nursery School we offer a curriculum rich in wonder and memorable experiences. We work hard to provide a stimulating environment that provides exciting opportunities, promotes challenge, exploration, adventure and a real love of learning.
It is our intent that all children develop physically, verbally, cognitively and emotionally in an environment which values all cultures, communities and people. We aim for our children to be confident and independent, to believe in themselves and interact positively with others.
We understand that play is an integral part of learning and this is at the heart of our early years curriculum. We believe that the correct mix of adult directed and uninterrupted child-initiated play ensures the best outcomes for pupils.
Warm and positive relationships between staff and children, consistent routines and strong relationships with parents are key.
We recognise the crucial role that early year’s education has to play in providing firm foundations upon which the rest of a child’s education is successfully based.
Don't Forget:
Our PE sessions are on a Monday. Please send your child in their PE kit (t-shirt, joggers, shorts or leggings, trainers and school jumper or hoodie) The children will stay in their kit all day.
If you have any messages please write them in your child's diary or + to Tapestry. Please also feel free to talk to us at the beginning or end of the day! We just ask that you wait until we have seen the other children out safely to their adult :)
Reading
Your child has now come home with a reading book. This contains all the sounds we have learnt in school so will give your child the chance to practice recognising them and blending (putting the sounds in the word together). Please write a comment in their diary when you have read with them.
A huge welcome to Phoenix F2. This week we are settling in, getting to know all the other adults and children at Phoenix and making friends. We are so proud of how well the children have come into school. Well done F2s!!
