SPECIAL ASSEMBLY

Special Assembly January 15th 2021

We have had an amazing week in year 1, looking at our new story 'Hermelin' in English and working hard in Maths as well. The children have worked really hard!

This week the trophy goes to Theo for some amazing reading, whilst Jasmine gets the manners award for brilliant manners all week.

We also have awards for the children working at home.

This week it's Imogen from class 3 who gets it for doing some amazing reading of tricky words. Thomas in class 4 gets it for his fantastic work on Seesaw.

Special Assembly Week Beginning 23rd November

This week Jack received the Trophy for always trying his best and being a helpful classmate. Thomas got special effort for showing improvement in his listening skills which are getting better and better each day. Harold received the Brilliant Manners certificate. Well done, all of you!

After learning about different ways of joining materials, we designed and created our own sock puppet. We are feeling very proud with the results.
This week we also celebrated the birthdays of the children born in November with an amazing party. We had lots of fun dancing and enjoyed some party food. We are looking forward to our December party!

Special Assembly Week Beginning 23rd November

The Trophy  was awarded to Evie this week for displaying amazing growth mindset. Chance got special effort for trying his best in every activity he attempts. Cassie-May received the Brilliant Manners certificate. Well done, all of you!

This week we have worked hard on solving single digit number sentences and learnt about plurals. We also created some amazing rangoli patterns in Art and symmetry in PE.  

Special Assembly Week Beginning 16th November

Georgie was awarded the Trophy for displaying amazing growth mindset. Aaliyah got special effort for showing great determination while practicing her cutting skills and Jack received the Brilliant Manners certificate. Well done, all of you!

Special Assembly Week Beginning 9th November

Scarlett got the trophy for always trying her best. Damian got special effort for working hard on his handwriting and Oscar got the Brilliant Manners certificate. Well done everybody!

Special Assembly 2nd November 2020

The children have come back with an excellent learning attitude this week and Robyn has been given the trophy for being an excellent role-model and making the right choices. Joseph has been given Special effort for super listening and working hard all week.

Special Assembly Week Beginning 12th October

Grace got the trophy, Arlo the special effort and Khouloud Brilliant Manners this week. Mrs Harper's Heroes were Jack and Georgie.

Culture Week

We have been learning all about France and we have made crepes, learnt how to speak in French, made Eiffel Towers in art, made some french flags, tasted some French food and we have learnt some different dances. 

Special Assembly Week Beginning 5th October

Phoebe got the trophy for being an excellent role model and always working so hard. Evie got special effort for having a go with her writing and Nancy got the Brilliant Manners certificate. Well done everybody!

Special Assembly

Noah got the trophy for putting his hand up in whole class lessons and trying his best all week. Theo got special effort for excellent writing and Robyn got Brilliant Manners certificate.

 

Week beginning 28th September

We have been learning all about Autumn this week and we have painted autumn trees, made split pin scarecrows, leaf collages, poems and also we went into Mrs Cassidy's garden to find signs of Autumn. 

Special Assembly Week beginning 21st September

Ella got the trophy, Daain got special effort and Felicity the Brilliant Manners.

Week Beginning 14th September Special Assembly

Leelan got the trophy this week, Leighton got special effort and Zayn got the excellent manners award. Well done!

 

Science

In Science we have been learning about materials and we have been labelling and sorting different materials. 

 

Partake

We all took part in our brilliant beginnings part of our toys topic with Partake. We went into the hall and we looked at and played with very old toys from the past and also toys that children play with today. We had lots of fun!

Week Beginning 7th September

We have all had a fantastic week at school in Class 4 and all the children have settled in so well and have worked very hard.

We are extremely proud of some children achieving a certificate this week in our class special assembly. Take a look at their photographs holding their certificate below. We gave Stefan the trophy, Scarlet the special effort and Sofia brilliant manners.

 

 

Hello and welcome to Class 4!

 

This is Class 4's Team!

Mrs Haywood and Miss Moretto are the class teachers in Class 4. Mrs Haywood will be teaching on a Monday and Tuesday and Miss Moretto on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Mrs Key, Mrs Bowles, Mrs George, and Mrs Shepherd are teaching assistants and they will be working in Class 3 and Class 4. We work very closely with Mr Farooq the class teacher in Class 3.

Miss Moretto

Hi I am Miss Moretto and I will be in Class 4 on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. I like going on lots of walks and visiting new places. I enjoy baking, shopping and spending time with my family. I am looking forward to seeing you all in September!

Mrs Haywood

Hello, I am Mrs Haywood and I will be teaching you on Mondays and Tuesdays.

I enjoy sewing, looking after my garden, meeting with my friends and visiting my family in France.

I am looking forward to meeting you and having lots of fun while learning.

Mrs Key

Hello, I am Mrs Key.

I can't wait to help and support you in Year 1 and have some fun along the way too! I love to smile and I know you'll keep me smiling with all the super and amazing work you're all going to do in Year 1.

I love baking, visiting my family at the seaside, having fun with the children and singing and dancing!  I can't wait to see you all in September, have a wonderful summer and I'll see you all very soon!

Mrs George

Hello, I am Mrs George.

I love to keep myself busy cooking, gardening, running and spending time with family and friends. 

I can't wait to see you all in September and I look forward to continue working with you all in Year 1.
