Class 5 and 6 were issued with their end of year certificates today to celebrate and mark all their hard work and achievements in this tough academic year.

The sun was shining it was the perfect evening to have a party for class 5 and 6. Everyone had so much fun - adults included. A great way to celebrate and have some fun after a challenging year for us all ☀️🌭🧁🎈🎉

Year 2 Fun Day class 5 and 6 have had an amazing day today. We used Nerf guns to play different games. We had a try at archery and golf too. Then this afternoon we had a bouncy castle. A bouncy castle with a slide which was great fun. We also could pick games we wanted to play such as hockey and football ⚽️ We all had a lovely day and we deserved this treat 😊

18th February - 40 stones have appeared. Can we make this one hundred by Sunday?

Little walk this morning and look what I spotted!

During half term, the week of Valentines day we are spreading a little love around our community. Over the past couple of weeks we have been busy decorating stones both in school and at home.

Step 1 is to go on a walk and leave your stone around the local area. The roads we would like you to focus on are –

Phoenix Avenue, Adbolton Avenue, and the bottom of Westdale Lane.  Please do this on Friday 12th February up to Sunday 14th February. You could then take a picture and upload it to Seesaw or Tapestry. Lots of you have already done this but if you haven't all ready then take a walk tomorrow to add yours.

This will leave a lovely trail of decorated stones from the children at Phoenix. You can take a look on your socially distanced daily walks to see how many you can spot!

Step 2 – From Wednesday 17th February go on walk and collect one stone on each walk (not your own ideally) Bring this to Phoenix and place at the top of the car park on the left-hand side (where the grass is – we will put a sign to let you know exactly where) Upload a photo of you dropping this off.

This should create a wonderful mass display of stones and will create a lasting reminder of the wonderful sense of community that Phoenix has maintained despite the challenges of the past year.  I wonder if we could get at least 100 back?  Look out for the photos as the stones make their return! Take a look below for photos of some of the stones spotted. More photos to be added during the week...
