On Tuesday 26th march the children in nursery and classes 1 & 2 had some very special visitors! White post farm came and brought lots of different animals for us to meet. We saw rabbits, mice, geckos, snakes, cockroaches and goats. we all had the chance to stroke or hold the animals and found out how the farm staff look after them. We had a fantastic day!!
In Monday the children that have worked hard all half term and been selected as one of Mrs Harper's Heroes got to visit the football ground. There they delivered some Easter Eggs for the children at the QMC. They also got a tour of the grounds and two free tickets each!
The children in classes 3 and 4 visited Making It in Mansfield. There they made rockets, saw how to design products and even appeared in their very own newspaper.
On Friday 15th March the Children of Phoenix Infants came to school with crazy hair to raise money for comic relief! We had a brilliant whole school parade and dance to see all the childrens crazy hair!
On Thursday 7th March, the children at Phoenix celebrated World Book Day. The children came to school dressed as their favourite book character and we had a wonderful whole school parade to see all the wonderful costumes!
David Harmer spent the whole day at Phoenix - the assembly in the morning was fantastic with lots of laughs!! David Harmer is a poet- he spend the rest of the day working with each class making fantastic poems.
Last half term classes 1 and 2 went on a trip to the CO-OP to buy things for our class party. We walked down there and looked around fot the items that were on our shopping lists. We paid for our shopping and then walked back to school. It was a super trip and we had a fantastic party with yummy food and drinks.
