Physical Education

At Phoenix we value the importance of PE and understand the positive impact exercise and activity has on children's health and well being.  We teach fun, engaging and energetic sessions on a weekly basis.  These sessions are carefully planned to develop the children's skills, building on the learning from the previous year.

Phoenix have celebrated the onset of the World Cup by having their own tournament! The children tested out their football skills with passing, dribbling, shooting and toe taps. Everyone has done a fantastic job and showcased brilliant skills. A big well done to Class 3 who ended up winning the tournament. Well done everyone!

This term in F2 we have taken our Physical learning outside. The children in F2 have been learning to ride bikes with 3 wheels and improve their balancing skills by creating circuits with the building equipment!

Year 1 had a good time practising different types of jumps, including bunny hops, star jumps, regular jumps. We also had a go at hopping on one leg!

Year 2 had a fantastic time this morning doing some circuit activities to start our topic 'Food Glorious Food!' We were learning all about the importance of exercise to keep us healthy. Have a look at us in action below!
