Class 5 (Year 2)
Welcome to Class 5
We are Class 5 and we love to learn lots of exciting things! Our teacher is called Miss Moretto and our teaching assistant is Mrs Smith. In the Autumn term we are learning all about London. We will be learning about famous landmarks in London, where it is on a map and also about The Great fire of London which happened in 1666. In Science we are learning about materials and we are finding out what our school is made of and why it is made of those materials. In art we are learning about pattern and finding out about an artist called Mondrian. Keep visiting our page to find out what we have been learning so far!
In the Spring term we are learning about how to keep ourselves healthy and living things in Science and in Geography we are comparing England with Africa and in particular learning all about Kenya. In history we shall be learning about famous people in the past. In art we shall be making portraits of ourselves and also learning about sculptures. We shall be going swimming in the Spring Term too!

In the summer term the children will be learning all about seaside holidays in Geography and History and they will be making puppets in Design Technology. In Science they will be learning all about animals.

The children focussed on designing and making a moving vehicle linked to their learning about London. The children created their vehicles from card and wood, developing techniques with cutting and joining these materials. The children then evalauted thier vehicles. Take a look...
