Hello and welcome to all our new starters. We are really looking forward to getting to know you all and having lots of fun during your first year of school.
We have up to 60 children in our two classes taught by Mrs Wilson, Mrs Winstanley and Miss Leigh-Browne; supported by Miss Atkin, Miss Zullo and Mrs Shepherd.
We have lots of exciting learning spaces across our indoor and outside classrooms; including a cosy reading area, number area, home corner, imaginative play area, construction area, sand, water, creative workshop, writing dens, garden area and tubs for planting.
We do lots of learning through active play which is carefully structured to ensure we make excellent progress in all areas of our development. We follow the government's Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and guidance.
Each day we have times when we are taught in groups or as a whole class for sessions such as listening to stories, phonics, literacy, mathematics, 'show and tell', music and PE.
Every Friday we have a Special Assembly in the hall at 2:45pm to celebrate our achievements. We may receive a trophy or certificate to reward our good work, behaviour or manners. Parents are invited to watch and join in with our celebrations.
